Three Arrested in Atlantic City During Traffic Stop

Atlantic City, NJ – The Atlantic City Police Department announced the arrest of three males and the recovery of a handgun during a motor vehicle stop on Wednesday.

Officer John Bell conducted the stop at New York and Adriatic Avenues on Tuesday at 1:11 AM. During the interaction, the passenger, a 16-year-old male, opened his door, revealing a handgun holster and a satchel on the floor of the vehicle. All occupants were removed from the vehicle, and a loaded handgun was discovered in the satchel. Dillan Dwomo, the juvenile, and Dashawn Braxton were taken into custody without incident.

Dillan Dwomo, 20, of Egg Harbor Township, was charged with unlawful possession of a weapon and possession of a handgun under 21. Dashawn Braxton, 18, of Atlantic City, faced the same charges. Both Dwomo and Braxton were remanded to the Atlantic County Justice Facility.

The 16-year-old male from Pleasantville, NJ, was also charged with unlawful possession of a weapon and possession of a handgun under 21. He was released to a parent with a future court date.
