Three Arrested in Delaware Following Traffic Stop

LEWES, DE – On Monday, at approximately 7:20 pm, Delaware State Police arrested three individuals after a traffic stop uncovered possession of guns and drugs. The trio was apprehended near the Wawa located at 17663 Dartmouth Drive in Lewes, driving a white 2001 Cadillac DeVille that had earlier been reported as involved in an incident of gunfire and reckless driving.

Samuel Mondestin, 19, Gelber Sandoval-Velasquez, 20, and Jocelyn Flores Estrada, 20, were all taken into custody without incident. During a search of the vehicle, troopers recovered two firearms, additional ammunition, and a substantial quantity of Xanax pills. The individuals are now facing various charges and have been committed to Sussex Correctional Institution.
