Three Charged in Kidnapping and Murder of Newark Man

ALLAMUCHY TOWNSHIP, NJ – The New Jersey State Police have charged Mustafa Manns, 28, William Dixon, 24, and Nishir Rios-Figueroa, 30, all of Newark, N.J., with murder, kidnapping, and other offenses for allegedly shooting and killing Quadree Burch, 27, also of Newark. Burch’s body was discovered near a wooded area off Interstate 80 in Allamuchy Township, Warren County, by a New Jersey Department of Transportation employee.

During the five-month investigation, detectives from the New Jersey State Police Major Crime North Unit pieced together a timeline of events, eventually connecting the suspects to the victim and placing them in the vicinity of the crime scene. It is alleged that Manns, Dixon, and Rios-Figueroa kidnapped Burch and drove him to Allamuchy Township, where he was shot and killed on the side of Interstate 80.

All three suspects are now in custody and awaiting further legal proceedings. The New Jersey State Police Major Crime North Unit is conducting the investigation with assistance from several county prosecutor’s offices and the Newark Police Department.
