Three Murder Suspects Surrender to U.S. Marshals Task Force


Memphis, TN
– U.S. Marshal Tyreece Miller announces the arrest
of Deandre Wilbourne, Deonn Wilbourne, and Christopher Burkes for First
Degree Murder.

On April 14, 2021, Donterrius Johnson and a male
juvenile were found shot to death near the 5200 block of Knight Arnold.
Arrest warrants for First Degree Murder were issued for this crime for
Deandre Wilbourne, Deonn Wilbourne and Christopher Burkes. This case was
adopted for a fugitive investigation by the U.S. Marshals Two Rivers
Violent Fugitive Task Force.

On Friday, April 23, Deandre
Wilbourne and Deonn Wilbourne surrendered to Investigators with the Task
Force. On Saturday, April 24, Christopher Burkes surrendered to Task
Force Investigators.

“There is a component to our work that
often involves persuasion and negotiation,” said U.S. Marshal Tyreece
Miller.

The U.S. Marshals Two Rivers Violent Fugitive Task Force
is a multi-agency task force in the Western District of Tennessee with
offices in Memphis and Jackson. Its membership is composed of Deputy
U.S. Marshals, Shelby County Sheriff’s Deputies, Memphis Police
Officers, Fayette County Sheriff’s Deputies, Jackson Police Officers,
and Special Agents with the Tennessee Department of Correction. The
primary mission of the Task Force is to arrest violent offenders and
sexual predators.
