Three Suspects Apprehended After Stolen Vehicle Pursuit Ends in Linden Crash

LINDEN, N.J. — Three suspects were taken into custody after a stolen vehicle pursuit ended in a crash in Linden late Friday afternoon. The incident began around 5:30 p.m. when Linden Central Dispatch received reports of a police pursuit heading into the city.

According to preliminary reports, the pursuit was called off on Route 1 near S. Wood Avenue. Shortly after, the stolen vehicle struck a curb at the intersection of S. Stiles Street and 21st Street, rendering the car inoperable.

The three suspects fled the scene on foot but were quickly apprehended after a coordinated effort by officers from Linden, Elizabeth, Union, Rahway, the Union County Sheriff’s Office, and the New Jersey State Police.

No injuries have been reported, and the investigation is ongoing
