Toledo Resident Scores $20K Win on Scratch-Off

TOLEDO, OH — Toledo local Thomas Kaminski couldn’t believe his luck when he scratched off a $20,000 win on the Ohio Lottery’s Triple Red 777 game. Kaminski bought the winning ticket at Stop & Go #6, located at 1505 Eleanor Avenue, where he had been purchasing the same type of ticket regularly without success.

Recalling the moment he realized he won, Kaminski said, “I had been losing on this game all week, but I decided to try one more time. When I saw I won $20,000, I almost panicked!” He quickly called his brother to join him outside for support as he processed his big win. “I basically lost my crap seeing I won $20,000,” he added with a laugh.

After taxes, Kaminski will receive approximately $14,400. The Triple Red 777 is a $10 scratch-off game featuring a top prize of $500,000. As of September 26, there are still three top prizes available, along with many other substantial prizes waiting to be claimed.
