Toms River Armed Home Invasion Leaves Family, Community Shaken

TOMS RIVER, NJ – A Toms River family was woken up by armed intruders Saturday morning leaving a family and a community in fear. Multiple armed robbers allegedly entered a home owned by an Orthodox Jewish family during the Saturday Shabbos observance.

The frightening event unfolded in a Toms River neighborhood when a mother was confronted by an armed intruder in her bedroom at 5 AM. The assailant demanded cash, ultimately fleeing with $700. This incident took place within the same timeframe as another alarming robbery in a Jewish family’s home in nearby Lakewood Township.

In the second incident, armed robbers gained entry through a rear window and demanded money from the couple at gunpoint in their master bedroom, also escaping with approximately $700.

Police are actively investigating both cases, which have raised concerns about safety in the community.
