Toms River Car Crash Ends in Assault

TOMS RIVER, NJ – A Toms River woman was charged with assault after getting into an argument with her girlfriend over a town truck service call, according to the Toms River Police Department.

Police said Jessica Sanchez was involved in a physical altercation with her girlfriend over a tow truck arrangement following a car accident. During the dispute, Sanchez punched her girlfriend in the face and closed the door on her hand.

The incident occurred after a previously reported accident. Despite the altercation, all domestic violence services offered were declined. Sanchez was released on her recognizance.
