Toms River, NJ – Summer may be winding down, but the Toms River Recreation Department is keeping the calendar packed with fitness, sports, and family-friendly activities stretching through September and October.
The season kicked off August 31 with stand-up paddleboarding at Shelter Cove, and continues this week with yoga and Zumba classes at Youth Services. Upcoming highlights include pickleball at Bey Lea on September 9, youth tennis on September 13, and a “Chef It Up” cooking class with Chef Sue on September 17.
Families will find plenty of options as well, including a Schools Out Multi-Sport Camp on September 23, karate and skateboarding camps on September 30, and Lego robotics and coding programs in early October. Marine Science Mondays begin October 6, followed by a Schools Out Tennis Camp on October 13.
Toms River Mayor Dan Rodrick encourages residents to get involved and stay active with the town’s full list of community events that includes something everyone of all ages.
Organizers note that more programs are expected to be added. Residents can register online at Community Pass.
