Toms River Recreation offers Pound fitness class with Pepper

TOMS RIVER, N.J. — A high-energy fitness class designed to combine cardio and strength training with the power of drumming is coming to Toms River Recreation. The Pound® Fitness Class with Pepper will run from February 20 to April 10, offering participants an eight-week program focused on movement and rhythm-based exercise.

The class, held at Youth Services, 1505 N Bay Avenue, will take place on Thursdays from 5 to 6 p.m. The registration fee is $45, which covers all eight sessions. Participants are encouraged to bring a yoga mat and water, while Ripstix®, the signature weighted drumsticks used in Pound workouts, will be provided.

Instructor Lisa Pepper, an AFAA-certified group fitness instructor, will lead the sessions, which are designed to create a full-body cardio experience through drumming-inspired movements. The program is open to all fitness levels and aims to provide an engaging workout in a supportive environment.
