Toms River schools on 90-minute delay Thursday due to icy conditions

TOMS RIVER, N.J. — Toms River Regional Schools will operate on a 90-minute delayed opening Thursday due to icy conditions from overnight precipitation, district officials announced.

The delay will affect all schools in the district, with students and staff expected to follow the adjusted schedule. Morning preschool, the Y-Kids program, and vocational programs will be canceled.

District officials urged families to review the delayed opening schedule, which is available on the district’s website.

Residents are advised to use caution when traveling, as icy road conditions may impact the morning commute.

Officials will continue monitoring weather conditions and provide updates if further schedule changes are necessary.
