Toms River to Host Fishing Derby at Veterans Park

TOMS RIVER, N.J. – The Toms River Township will host a community fishing derby at Veterans Park on October 19, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. The event, presented by Mayor Rodrick and the Toms River Recreation Department, invites local anglers of all ages to participate.

Participants are encouraged to bring their own fishing poles, as there will be a limited number of loaner poles and equipment available from the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection’s Division of Fish and Wildlife.

Attendees are also reminded to bring their own bait.
