Traffic Stop in Bridgeville Ends with Gun and Drug Arrest

BRIDGEVILLE, DE – Delaware State Police arrested 32-year-old Marcus Echard from Salisbury, Maryland, following a traffic incident on Tuesday.

Troopers noticed Echard driving a white Volkswagen Jetta on the wrong side of the road on Mill Park Drive. Despite attempts to evade, Echard was apprehended on Coverdale Road.

Signs of impairment and possession of drug paraphernalia led to his arrest.

A search revealed a concealed handgun and additional paraphernalia.

Charges include carrying a concealed deadly weapon, resisting arrest, DUI, and other offenses. Echard is held on a $18,210 cash bond.
