Traffic stop in Glen Burnie leads to arrest, seizure of two firearms

GLEN BURNIE, Md. — A 27-year-old Baltimore man was arrested Wednesday morning after Anne Arundel County Police discovered two firearms during a traffic stop in Glen Burnie.

Officers conducted the stop at approximately 8:30 a.m. on November 20, 2024, at the intersection of Solley Road and Steens Hill Drive. A search of the black Dodge Caliber revealed a 10mm black semi-automatic Glock 29 and a .308 AR10 black Diamondback pistol.

The driver, identified as James Lee Carr, was taken into custody and charged with weapons violations. Police have not disclosed additional details about the circumstances leading to the traffic stop or whether the firearms were legally owned.

The incident remains under investigation. Police did not report any injuries or other individuals involved in the case.
