Traffic Stop in Pasadena Leads to Firearm Discovery and Arrest

Pasadena, MD – The Anne Arundel County Police Department reported that on Thursday, officers discovered a handgun during a routine vehicle check in the Eastern District.

The suspect, a 26-year-old man from Jacksonville, Florida, was taken into custody for possessing the firearm, despite being prohibited from doing so.

The incident occurred around 12:55 p.m. when officers pulled over a vehicle on Mountain Road for an equipment violation. Following further investigation, a handgun was found inside the car. Authorities promptly arrested the suspect, Jamauri Wakefield, who is facing charges for carrying the firearm illegally.
