Traffic Stop Leads to Arrest in Cambridge

CAMBRIDGE, MD – A traffic stop for equipment violation escalated into an arrest on Tuesday. At approximately 4:05 pm, Cambridge Police Department officers pulled over a vehicle on the 200 block of Washington St.

The driver, identified as Brian Edward Conaway, a 45-year-old resident of Hurlock, attempted to leave the scene multiple times during the traffic stop. According to the officers, Conaway became disorderly and caused a disturbance. He was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct, obstructing and hindering, and possession of less than 1.5 ounces of cannabis. Conaway was later released on a $500.00 unsecured bond.
