Traffic stop leads to warrant arrest in Wilkes-Barre

WILKES-BARRE, PA — A routine traffic stop on Hazle Street led to the arrest of a Wilkes-Barre man wanted on an active warrant, police said.

Officers pulled over a vehicle near Hazle Street and South Pennsylvania Avenue at 12:58 p.m. on February 17. During the investigation, they discovered that one of the occupants, 47-year-old Jaquan Porch, had an outstanding warrant issued by the department.

Porch was taken into custody without incident and transported to City Headquarters.
