Tragic Shooting Incident Claims Young Life in Brooklyn

BROOKLYN, NY — A devastating shooting incident occurred late on Thursday in the area of Brooklyn Avenue and St. Marks Avenue, falling under the jurisdiction of the NYPD’s 77th Precinct.

Police were dispatched to the scene following a 911 call reporting a male victim shot multiple times.

Upon their arrival, authorities discovered a 13-year-old boy with multiple gunshot wounds. The victim, later identified as Troy Gill of 959 Saint Marks Avenue, was urgently transported by EMS to NYC Health+Hospitals/Kings County, where he was pronounced dead.

He was just blocks from his home at the time of the shooting.

The case currently has no suspects, and detectives are continuing their investigation. Gill’s family has been notified of the tragic event.
