Trio flees in black SUV after attempted robbery on M Street

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Police are investigating an early morning attempted robbery involving three suspects who fled the scene in a black SUV in Northeast D.C.

The incident occurred just before 2 a.m. on March 25 in the 2200 block of M Street, Northeast, according to the Metropolitan Police Department. Officers issued a lookout for three Black male suspects last seen traveling westbound on M Street in a dark-colored SUV.

Two of the suspects are described as having dark complexions, approximately 5’3″ in height, between 16 and 19 years old, with slim builds, and wearing all-black clothing. The third suspect is approximately 5’9″, also dark complexioned, and dressed in all black.

No injuries or stolen items have been reported at this time, and police have not released additional information about the attempted robbery.
