Triple shooting in Northeast DC leaves two dead

WASHINGTON, DC — Two men were killed and a third was wounded in a shooting inside a Northeast Washington residential building, prompting a homicide investigation.

Officers responded to the 4000 block of Minnesota Avenue, NE, around 1:10 p.m. on Sunday and found a man who was conscious and breathing with gunshot wounds. Nearby, they discovered two other men who were unresponsive and critically injured.

DC Fire and EMS attempted lifesaving measures, but one victim was pronounced dead at the scene. He was identified as 29-year-old D’andre Williams of Waldorf, MD. The other two victims were transported to a hospital, where 24-year-old D’ontae Bryant of Northeast DC later died from his injuries.

Authorities are asking anyone with information to call (202) 727-9099 or text tips to 50411. A reward of up to $25,000 is being offered for information leading to an arrest and conviction.
