Triple shooting leaves three injured in D.C.

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Three men were injured in a shooting Thursday afternoon in Southeast D.C., prompting an ongoing investigation by the Metropolitan Police Department.

Officers responded to the 4000 block of 9th Street SE at approximately 2:17 p.m. following reports of gunfire. Police said two of the men suffered gunshot wounds, while the third was grazed by a bullet.

All three victims were reported to be conscious and breathing. D.C. Fire and EMS transported two of the men to the hospital, and the third arrived at a medical facility on his own.
