ALBANY, NEW YORK – Richawn McClain, a 25-year-old resident of Troy, New York, has been detained following his recent indictment on charges of possessing a firearm in connection with drug trafficking activities. United States Attorney Carla B. Freedman and DEA Special Agent in Charge Frank A. Tarentino III announced the charges, highlighting the serious nature of the allegations.
The indictment accuses McClain of possessing a Glock .40 caliber handgun, which had been illegally modified to function as a machine gun. Additionally, he is alleged to have intended to distribute a cocaine-fentanyl mixture and over 900 oxycodone pills.
