CLINTON, Md. — A retired truck driver from Prince George’s County is packing his bags for a VIP trip to Hollywood after winning the first drawing in the Maryland Lottery’s Let’s Make a Deal second-chance promotion.

Wallace Thrash of Clinton was selected from entries submitted through My Lottery Rewards by players who entered non-winning Let’s Make a Deal scratch-off tickets. His prize includes a four-day trip for two to Los Angeles, roundtrip airfare, hotel accommodations, $1,660 in spending money, a tour of local landmarks, and VIP access to a taping of the iconic game show.

Thrash, 69, said he has rarely traveled and is excited for the opportunity to visit California for the first time. As part of the experience, winners will also have the chance to shop for a costume and participate in the show’s taping, where they may win up to $3,000.

The promotion will include four additional drawings scheduled for June 17, July 15, August 12, and September 9. Each drawing will award one trip package and four cash prizes of $5,000.

Winners get more than a trip with exclusive Let’s Make a Deal access

Let’s Make a Deal scratch-off tickets remain eligible for entry into the remaining second-chance drawings. All winning and non-winning tickets can be submitted via the Maryland Lottery’s My Lottery Rewards program.
