Truck payoff coming after $100K Maryland Lottery win

EASTON, MD – A Delaware man claimed a $100,000 top prize on a Maryland Lottery scratch-off after a spontaneous purchase at a convenience store in Easton.

The winner bought the $10 Money Rush scratch-off ticket at U5 Foods, located at 8117 Ocean Gateway, while stopping by to pick up a friend. The decision to buy the ticket was made just as he was leaving the store.

The certified nursing assistant, who resides in Delaware, scratched the ticket shortly after and revealed the six-figure prize. He confirmed the win and shared the news with his brother.

The winning ticket marks one of the top prizes available in the Money Rush game, which launched in July 2024. As of June 3, four $100,000 prizes remain unclaimed, along with three $50,000 and thirteen $10,000 prizes.

U5 Foods will receive a $1,000 bonus from the Maryland Lottery for selling the winning ticket.

The winner indicated he plans to pay off his truck with the prize money.
