Trump says he will lead Republicans to victory in 2020 midterms

PALM BEACH, FL – Former U.S. President Donald J. Trump on Saturday promised he will lead the Republican party back into power in 2022. Trump hosted a dinner for Republican National Committee donors at his Mar-A-Lago golf club in Palm Beach.

“I stand before you this evening filled with confidence that in 2022, we are going to take back the House (of Representatives) and we are going to reclaim the Senate. And then in 2024, a Republican candidate is going to win the White House,” Trump said.

Trump used the opportunity to slam some of his opponents, including Dr. Anthony Fauci and Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell.

He called McConnell a “dumb son-of-a-bitch”. Trump criticized McConnell for certifying the 2020 election which the former President feels was wrought with voter fraud.

“If that were Schumer instead of this dumb son of a b—-, Mitch McConnell, they would never allow it to happen,” Trump told his guests. Trump said Democrats would have stuck together behind their Democrat president and fought the Republicans, adding the election was “bulls–t”.
