Tulsa teen girl charged for string of armed robberies not so honest

TULSA, OK – On 12/8/21 around 5:30 p.m., we were called out to an armed robbery at a convenience store near 46th St. N. and Lewis. The suspect, later identified as 15-year-old Honest Burns, placed two items on the counter and walked away. She later returned, pulled out a black revolver, and demanded money. The clerk handed her cash, and Burns ran off.

Two days later on 12/10/21 around 2:30 p.m., we were called to another armed robbery at TAP In Wine & Spirits near 46th St. N and Peoria. The suspect, Honest Burns, walked inside the store and stated that they were getting robbed. Burns then threw a bag at the clerk and demanded money.

During the robbery, Burns pulled out a black revolver and shot it into the ground, then pointed the gun at the employees. One of the employees grabbed Burns and held her while the other employees managed to get the gun away from her. The employees held Burns on the ground until officers arrived and arrested her.
