Two arrested in East Harlem for Washington Houses murder

New York City – As a result of an ongoing investigation, NYPD detectives arrested and charged two individuals on Friday in East Harlem for a 2022 murder.

The suspects arrested are Luis Roman, a 28-year-old male residing at East 93 Street, and Shaun McClam, a 38-year-old male residing at East 101 Street.

Both suspects face charges of murder, conspiracy, and criminal possession of a weapon, with two counts each.

The incident under investigation occurred on Tuesday, October 25, 2022, at approximately 2:38 a.m., when the police responded to a 911 call reporting a shooting at 230 East 102 Street, located within the 23rd Precinct in the PSA #5/Washington Houses area.

Upon arrival, officers discovered an unconscious and unresponsive 37-year-old male with gunshot wounds to the chest and head in the fourth-floor hallway. The victim, identified as Timothy Parker, was immediately transported to Cornell Hospital by emergency medical services where he was pronounced deceased.
