Two Arrested in Stolen Vehicle Incident

BOSTON, MA – On Monday, at around 9:15 PM, officers from the District B-2 Anticrime Unit conducted a traffic stop of a stolen vehicle near 100 Blue Hill Avenue. The vehicle was identified as stolen after officers noticed it traveling without headlights illuminated on Irwin Avenue.

The driver, identified as 19-year-old Raul Arias, was uncooperative and resisted arrest. A 16-year-old male from Charlestown was also present in the vehicle. A P80 9mm Glock was recovered from the vehicle. Arias was arrested and charged with receiving a stolen motor vehicle and resisting arrest. He is expected to be arraigned in Roxbury District Court.
