Two assaulted with metal pipe in Staten Island

NEW YORK CITY, NY – The New York City Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying an individual connected to a double assault that occurred within the 121 Precinct. The incident occurred on Sunday, at around 11:00 pm at Castleton Avenue and Port Richmond Avenue.

A 29-year-old male was involved in a dispute with an unknown individual. The apprehended individual struck the victim in the head with a metal pipe, and a 36-year-old male tried to intervene.

The unknown individual then used a baseball bat to strike both victims multiple times in the head before fleeing eastbound on Castleton Avenue. Both victims were transported to Richmond University Medical Center for treatment of serious injuries.
