Two Charged for Illegal Weapons in South Jersey

GALLOWAY TOWNSHIP, NJ – On early Tuesday morning, Galloway Township Police apprehended two individuals, Ahmed Ismail, 33, of Moorestown, NJ, and Torin Colson, 19, of Millville, NJ, for multiple offenses related to unlawful weapon possession.

The arrest followed a citizen’s report of a vehicle break-in, captured on surveillance around 2:16 AM.

Patrolling officers located a Nissan Altima on Smithville Boulevard, occupied by Ismail and Colson. An investigation led to the discovery of a defaced handgun in the vehicle.

The suspects face charges including Unlawful Possession of a Weapon, Possession of Hollow Point Ammunition, and Possession of a Defaced Firearm.

Both Ismail and Colson were detained at the Galloway Township Police Department and later transferred to the Atlantic County Justice Facility, pending future court appearances.
