Two Dead After Crashing Stolen Car in Columbus

COLUMBUS, OH- The Columbus Police Department is investigating a fatal crash that occurred at 5th Avenue and Peters Avenue on Sunday.

A blue Hyundai Elantra was traveling east on 5th Avenue at Saint Clair Avenue when the vehicle lost control, crashed into a pole, and flipped. Two of the three passengers were ejected from the vehicle, which was reported stolen.

Two of the occupants were taken to hospitals, where they were pronounced deceased. Another occupant was taken to a Children’s Hospital and is in stable condition.

The Accident Investigation Unit responded to the scene and initiated an investigation. The investigation
is ongoing.
