Police investigating double shooting at Maryland home

COCKEYSVILLE, MD – A man and woman were found dead late Monday morning after a shooting inside a home on East Padonia Road in Baltimore County, according to police.

At around 11 a.m., officers from Precinct 7–Cockeysville responded to the 100 block of East Padonia Road for reports of a shooting. When they arrived, they discovered an adult male and an adult female suffering from gunshot wounds. Both victims were pronounced dead at the scene.

Baltimore County Police said preliminary evidence suggests the man’s gunshot wound was self-inflicted, indicating the incident may have been a murder-suicide. No other injuries have been reported.

Homicide detectives remain on the scene investigating the circumstances surrounding the deaths. Officials have not released the identities of the victims or additional details about the incident.

The investigation is ongoing as police work to determine the events leading up to the shooting.
