COCKEYSVILLE, MD – Police in Baltimore County have confirmed two men were killed when their Ford Mustang lost control and overturned in Cockeysville.

According to the Baltimore County Police Department’s Crash Team, the single-vehicle crash happened shortly before 2 a.m. on Sunday.

“Preliminarily, investigators have determined the 2006 Ford Mustang was traveling eastbound along Cranbrook Road, just east of Greenside Drive, when the vehicle went off the road striking a fire hydrant and several trees,” the Baltimore County Police Department said in a statement. “The vehicle then overturned ejecting the driver and rear passenger from the car. The front-seat passenger, who was seat belted at the time of the crash, remained in the vehicle.”

20-year-old Elvis Espinoza was pronounced deceased on the scene and 21-year-old Salvador Melara was pronounced deceased at the hospital.

“Medics transported the front-seat passenger, a 22-year-old male, to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries,” the department said.
