Two firefighters injured in Bridgewater forest fire

BRIDGEWATER TWP., NJ – Two firefighters were injured while battling a forest fire in Bridgewater.

Somerset County Prosecutor John P. McDonald, along with other officials, announced that an investigation is underway into a fire that occurred on 1482 Long Road in Bridgewater Township.

According to reports, the fire caused damage to over four acres of woodland property. It resulted in two firefighters being taken to the hospital for injuries sustained during fire suppression efforts.

The Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office Fire Investigation Unit is working alongside the Bridgewater Township Police Department and fire officials to determine the cause and origin of the fire.

The investigation is ongoing, and authorities are requesting anyone with information relating to this fire to contact the Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office Fire Investigation Unit or the Bridgewater Township Police Department.
