Two Injured in Brooklyn Shooting Following Large Brawl

New York City Police Department dispatched to crime scene.

BROOKLYN, NY — At 1:50 a.m. on 60th Street and Fort Hamilton Parkway, units from the NYPD 66th Precinct responded to reports of shots fired. Officers arrived to find a large brawl, which escalated into a shooting.

Two individuals were taken to Maimonides Hospital with gunshot wounds to the leg. Both are in stable condition. The incident is currently under investigation. No arrests have been made at this time.

Police officers followed the rowdy group away from the initial scene as they were screamed at by participants. Scuffles between police and residents ensued.

Police wielding batons managed to de-escalate the incident and restore order in the neighborhood.
