Two injured in early morning Myrtle Beach shooting, police say

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. — Two people were injured in a shooting early Saturday morning in Myrtle Beach, according to local authorities. Officers from the Myrtle Beach Police Department responded to reports of gunfire around 2:00 a.m. on the 400 block of 29th Avenue North, where they found two victims who had been shot.

Both individuals were transported to a nearby hospital and are receiving treatment for injuries that police say are non-life-threatening. Officials have not released further details on the identities or ages of the victims, nor have they provided information on any potential suspects.

As the investigation is ongoing, additional police presence will remain in the area, according to a statement from the Myrtle Beach Police Department. Authorities are asking anyone with information related to the incident to contact the police at 843-918-1382.
