Two Juveniles Arrested for Auto Theft in Gaithersburg

GAITHERSBURG, MD – Officers from the Montgomery County Department of Police – 5th District Patrol arrested 21-year-old Lawrence Xavier Harrison of Gaithersburg and two juveniles following a traffic stop on Thursday, June 29.

At approximately 1:11 a.m., officers observed a white Hyundai traveling northbound on Frederick Rd., displaying suspicious behavior. The Hyundai was identified as stolen, and when officers attempted to stop the vehicle on I-270, the driver failed to comply. The vehicle finally stopped in the 8800 block of Dr. Perry Rd., and the occupants, Harrison and two juveniles, were taken into custody.

Further investigation led to the discovery of items of value in the vehicle. The two juveniles were charged with auto theft related charges and subsequently released to their parents.
