Two killed, three injured in Oxon Hill single-vehicle crash on Indian Head Highway

OXON HILL, Md. — Prince George’s County Police say two people were killed and three others injured in a single-vehicle crash Tuesday night on Indian Head Highway.

The Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit reports that the crash happened around 9:10 p.m. when the driver lost control of the northbound vehicle near the Kerby Hill Road exit, striking a traffic barrier and overturning.

Seventy-year-old Ursula Churn of Washington, D.C. was pronounced dead at the scene. A second passenger died at a hospital shortly afterward. That victim’s name is being withheld until family notification is complete.

The driver and a fourth passenger were hospitalized with life-threatening injuries, while a fifth passenger sustained non-life-threatening injuries.

Investigation ongoing
