Two Men Injured in Bronx Shooting Following Dispute Over Money

BRONX, N.Y. — Two men were shot in the early hours of Tuesday, August 13, 2024, following a verbal dispute over money in the Mott Haven neighborhood of the Bronx, according to police.

The incident occurred at approximately 3:22 a.m. in front of 561 Walton Avenue. During the altercation, two unidentified individuals opened fire, hitting a 26-year-old man multiple times in the legs and a 27-year-old man once in the leg. The suspects fled the scene on foot, heading eastbound on East 149th Street.

Emergency Medical Services (EMS) responded quickly, transporting both victims to NYC Health + Hospitals/Lincoln, where they were treated and are reported to be in stable condition.

Police are continuing to search for the two suspects involved in the shooting. Authorities have released a partial description of one of the suspects but have not provided further details at this time.

The investigation is ongoing, and anyone with information regarding the incident is urged to contact the NYPD.
