KEENE, N.H. — Police have identified two suspects involved in a shooting on Gilsum Street in Keene on Wednesday. Officers responded to reports of a man being shot, though the victim is expected to recover, according to law enforcement.

Authorities say one suspect fled the scene in a vehicle as officers arrived. A chase ensued, leading police into Massachusetts, where the driver eventually crashed.

The driver, identified as 31-year-old Joel Cruz from New Jersey, has been charged with assault and reckless conduct. His alleged accomplice, 29-year-old Luis Nunez Jr., was also apprehended in connection with the incident.

Police are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
