Two Persons of Interest Sought in D.C. Carjacking Investigation

WASHINGTON, D.C. – To solve a recent carjacking case, the Metropolitan Police Department is seeking assistance from the community to identify two persons of interest captured on surveillance footage.

The incident occurred on July 22 at approximately 1:30 a.m. near 14th Street and U Street, Northwest. The victim was riding a moped when a group of suspects surrounded and assaulted him. One suspect took the moped and fled, while the others escaped on foot.

Earlier, two 18-year-old males from Laurel, MD, were charged with carjacking related to this case. However, police are still searching for additional suspects.
