Two Shot, 18 Year-Old Dead In Southeast D.C.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Two men were shot Saturday afternoon in Southeast, D.C. An 18 year-old man did not survive. Detectives from the Washington D.C. Metro Police Homicide Unit are investigating this incident, which happened at a residence on the 1300 block of Congress Street.

Police say, “At approximately 2:51 pm, members of the Seventh District were notified of two adult males seeking treatment at a local hospital for gunshot wounds. After all life-saving efforts failed, one of the victims was pronounced dead. The other victim received treatment for non-life-threatening injuries. The detectives’ investigation revealed the offense took place inside of a residence in the 1300 block of Congress Street, Southeast at approximately 2:31 pm.”

18-year-old Lonzo Malcolm of Southeast, D.C. was identified as the victim.
