Two Shot in the Bronx, One Dead

NEW YORK CITY - NYPD police cars.

NEW YORK, NY – The New York City Police today said two men were shot in the Bronx. One of those victims died. The incident happened about 1:30 PM on E 2 14th St. Police said the unidentified male was shot in the chest and succumbed to his injuries. He was transported by EMS to Jacobi Hospital, where he was pronounced dead a short time later.

Police described the suspect as a male wearing a white shirt with black pants, fleeing on foot eastbound on 214th Street.

A second victim was found later with a gunshot wound to his right arm. That victim checked himself into Montefiore Medical Center. Police said the second victim’s injuries were non-life threatening.

At this time, no suspects have been identified and no arrests have been made.
