Two Teenagers Arrested for Armed Carjacking in D.C.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Two 16-year-old males have been arrested and charged with armed carjacking following an incident in Northeast D.C. on Friday evening.

Around 7:00 PM last Friday, the teenagers allegedly confronted a victim on the 3900 block of Benning Road, with one suspect brandishing a handgun and demanding the victim’s moped.

After the victim complied, the suspects fled the area on the stolen vehicle. The D.C. Metro Police Department’s Air Support Unit played a crucial role in locating the teenagers and assisting detectives in making the arrests.
