Two teens arrested after armed carjacking vehicle tracked, handgun recovered

BALTIMORE — Two 16-year-old boys were arrested Monday morning in connection with an armed carjacking after authorities tracked the stolen vehicle with assistance from Baltimore County Aviation.

According to the Baltimore Police Department, the Regional Auto Theft Task Force (RATT) located the vehicle on December 2 at approximately 11:30 a.m. The suspects attempted to flee by bailing out of the car, but both were apprehended shortly afterward.

During the arrest, officers recovered a handgun believed to have been used in the commission of the crime. The suspects were transported to Juvenile Booking for processing.

Authorities have not released further details about the carjacking incident or the suspects due to their age.
