Two teens arrested for broad daylight shooting in Delaware

LAUREL, Del. — Delaware State Police arrested two teenagers following a shooting incident that occurred Monday afternoon along Seaford Road in Laurel.

Authorities responded to the 30000 block of Seaford Road around 12:20 p.m. on May 20 after receiving reports of shots fired. According to the investigation, two Black male juveniles were walking along the roadway when one of them fired several rounds at a northbound vehicle near Discount Land Road. The vehicle was not struck, and the driver and two passengers were unharmed.

Through investigative efforts, police identified the suspects as a 14-year-old and a 15-year-old, both from Laurel. Officers located and arrested both juveniles during a search of the area without further incident.

The 14-year-old faces multiple felony charges, including possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, possession of ammunition by a minor, three counts of first-degree reckless endangering, and second-degree conspiracy. He was arraigned and committed to Stevenson House Detention Center on $125,000 cash bond.

The 15-year-old was charged with three counts of first-degree reckless endangering and second-degree conspiracy. He was also arraigned and committed to Stevenson House on a $125,000 cash bond.
