Two violent robberies reported in queens; suspects sought

QUEENS, N.Y. — Police are searching for multiple suspects involved in two violent robberies that occurred in Flushing and Fresh Meadows over the past week.The first incident took place on Friday, Feb. 14, 2025, at approximately 7 p.m. at Barclay Avenue and Kissena Boulevard. A 34-year-old man was meeting with two unidentified men for a currency exchange when the suspects sprayed OC spray into his eyes and attacked him, repeatedly punching and kicking him in the face. The victim suffered a broken nose and facial lacerations before the suspects forcibly took his bag, which contained a phone and currency. They then fled southbound on Kissena Boulevard. The victim was transported to NewYork-Presbyterian Queens Hospital in stable condition.

The second robbery occurred on Wednesday, Feb. 19, 2025, at approximately 11:50 a.m. inside 61-51 188th Street in Fresh Meadows. A 39-year-old man was meeting with three unknown men to sell a Rolex watch when the suspects attacked him, punching him in the face and stealing the Rolex watch box. They then fled in a vehicle to Kissena Boulevard and the Horace Harding Expressway. The victim sustained minor injuries but was not hospitalized.

Authorities have released descriptions of the suspects. The first individual is a slim-built male with a dark complexion, last seen wearing navy and gray gloves, a black long coat, a black hooded sweater, black pants, and white Nike sneakers. The second suspect is a medium-built male with a light complexion, wearing a black North Face coat, a black hooded sweater, gray sweatpants, and white sneakers. The third suspect is a heavy-built male with a light complexion, last seen in a blue surgical mask, black coat, black pants, and black sneakers.

The NYPD is urging anyone with information to come forward as investigations continue.
