Two Wanted for Assault and Robbery on Cypress Avenue

NEW YORK CITY, NY – The New York City Police Department’s robbery unit is requesting the public’s assistance in identifying two individuals connected to a robbery that took place on Friday, July 21. At around 8:00 am, a 40-year-old male was assaulted in front of 135 Cypress Avenue.

Two individuals on a motorcycle approached the victim. One of them jumped off the motorcycle and forcibly removed a chain from the victim’s neck. The second individual showed a firearm in his waistband during the incident.

They were seen fleeing westbound on East 135 Street on a red motorcycle. The victim sustained minor injuries but refused medical attention at the scene.

The first individual is described as a male with a dark complexion, approximately 6′ tall with a thin build. He was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with gold and purple accents, black sweatpants, and white sneakers. The second individual is also male with a dark complexion, approximately 5’10” tall with a thin build, last seen wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt, black pants with a gray accent, and white sneakers.

The New York City Police Department asked anyone with information regarding the incident to contact them.
