Two Wounded in Shooting in Philadelphia’s Nicetown

PHILADELPHIA, PA – On Tuesday shortly before 2 a.m., a 15-year-old boy and a 39-year-old man were wounded while sitting on the steps of a home on the 4200 block of North Carlisle Street in the Nicetown neighborhood.

Police report that at least 25 shots were fired during the incident.

The teenager sustained a gunshot wound to the leg, and the man was wounded in the back. Both were taken to a hospital and are in stable condition.

Investigators have stated that they do not believe this was a drive-by shooting.

The Philadelphia Police Department is hopeful that surveillance footage will aid in identifying the shooter. Those with information regarding the case are asked to contact the police.
