Port Charlotte, FL – A maintenance worker at the Maria Manor community discovered a body and alerted local authorities Wednesday morning.
While completing yard work inside the Maria Manor community, located at 4158 Tamiami Trail, the maintenance crew noticed a foul smell. After walking around the area, they discovered a dead body located just behind the community entrance wall. The crew then contacted the Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office at 10:27 this morning.
“At this time, we can confirm that the deceased is a white male and all community members are accounted for. The CCSO Major Crimes and forensics units are on scene,” the Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office said in a statement this morning.
